Spirits of French Lick Shows Well at the SIP Awards
Spirits of French Lick, Artisan Distillery in West Baden, competed against 673 spirit brands at the 2017 Spirits International Prestige (SIP) Awards. This year, SIP Awards hosted its largest blind tasting competition to date with 673 spirit brands and 118 consumer judges. Taking place at the upscale Hyatt Regency at Newport Beach, CA, the competition gave domestic and international spirit brands the rare opportunity to be distinguished solely on the merits of taste, aroma, and finish by unbiased consumers.
The SIP Awards provides a unique judging competition for spirit brands to gain exposure, feedback, and recognition from unbiased consumers. As the only blind tasting competition of its kind, the SIP Awards offer a fair platform for top brands to showcase their products to their most discerning audience.
Spirits of French Lick secured three Gold medals for their SonRoho (Catawba Immature Brandy), Aquavit, and Absinthe le Blue. The juicy Blackberry Eau-de-Vie garnered a silver, and the Vodka and White Bourbon Whisky pulled bronze in a very crowded field of competitors.
Spirits of French Lick is owned by the Doty family, who also own the French Lick Winery. The Distiller is Alan Bishop, with still hands, Stephen McNeely and Josh Lynch.
